Sorry that I haven't been active on the list for the past few years, but thought this might be a good place to add documentation to the public record.
I photographed a junco nest with 4 eggs, yesterday 4/3.
According to one of my more knowledgeable birding friends, this is "craazy" early. From Peterjohn's,The Birds of Ohio,: "Nests with eggs have been discovered as early as April 9..."
Here's a direct link to one of the images, posted to a seldom used photobucket account: http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c182/bfambrough/junconest004.jpg
Cheers,
Ben Fambrough
