I had to run into Ashtabula this evening and had some time to check out the
harbor. There was a snowy owl out on the train tracks in the west end of
the harbor. It was a very white bird.

There was a laughing gull just west of the beach at Lakeshore Park. It was
an adult bird with a heavily mottled hood. It was feeding with a group of
Bonaparte's gulls. There was also an adult lesser black-backed gull on the
building at the east end of the harbor.
