This evening at about 6:45PM, directly south and in front of the Guilford Lake State Park office, was a male Eurasian Wigeon in the company of twenty male and female American Wigeons. The abundant variety of waterfowl and gulls reported yesterday, were all still present. The Guilford Lake area Sandhill Cranes which returned on February 26th, were seen at about 7:15PM. Unfortunately, they are normally not viewable and on private property. New arrivals for us today were: Purple Martins, a Yellow-throated Warbler, and an earlier than usual Veery.
