Hey all -
Immediately sought is an individual to take over spring season duties for North American Birds, the esteemed journal published by American Birding Association. You would be in charge of picking out the "cream-of-the-crop" Ohio sightings from the spring season, and collaborating with editors from Pennsylvania and West Virginia to form the spring report for what is known as "Eastern Highlands & Upper Ohio River Valley" region. This journal, itself, has been around for many years under previous names such as Field Notes and Bird Lore, and features seasonal reports from 32 regions, as well as photographs of rarities, and documentation of vagrants.
Please shoot me an e-mail if this occupation sounds like its up your alley. There is no pay involved, but you will recieve a complimentary subscription to the journal. The writing for this particular publication is not terribly time-intensive, and the writing style fairly casual. It is widely-circulated among birders, as well as libraries/univsersities nationwide, and is a great opportunity to showcase your editorial skills.
Thanks, all...and good birding!
Late Common Loon offshore here in Sheffield Lake as I type.
