Had 3 Wild Turkeys strolling along the old forest road at Mock Park yesterday (they were the ones strolling, not I).  This is as deep in urban Columbus as I've seen them, though the Alum Creek greenbelt could conceivably lead them in even closer to downtown.  Not too bad for migrants either, with 3 flycatchers (Pewee, Acadian, Great Crested), 3 vireos (White-eyed, Warbling, Red-eyed), Swainson's Thrushes, Rose-br.Grosbeak, and 10 warblers (Yellow, Parula, Tennessee, Yellow-throated, Magnolia, Chesnut-sided, Black-thr.Blue, Black-thr.Green, Redstart, Common Yellowthroat).

Mock is a forested ravine and bluff along the west edge of the Alum Creek floodplain in northeast Columbus, only about 5 miles from downtown.  The new Alum Creek Greenway bikepath link goes right past it, but will apparently not have a link into the park since it is on the other side of the Creek.
