I wanted to let everyone know about two free bird walks tomorrow (Saturday, May 12, IMBD) in NW Ohio.

First is a 9 am bird walk I'll be leading for kids and families at Ottawa NWR. Everyone is welcome and I'd love some help with what we think might be a sizable group. All reports are for a very birdy day.

The second Saturday walk is for Ohio Ornithological Society members and friendsat 3 pm at Meadowbrook Marsh on the Marblehead peninsula. This under-birded site is a patch of great wetland habitat near the Erie shore. It's also the place where Carbon Offset Bird Project funds donated by birders at last fall's Midwest Birding Symposium will be used to acquire additional critical bird habitat. This informal walk will be focused on appreciating the habitat and birds and celebrating the generosity of birders and volunteers who are moving this project forward. I hope to see you there!

OOS Vice President
