When I arrived home at around 5:00 this evening there were 2 red-breasted grosbeaks (both male) at my seed feeders in my back yard. This is the first I've ever had them at my feeders. What a treat. A more beautiful bird is hard to find!!!

I'm located just east of West Jefferson, but I'm in Franklin County. I'm about 2 miles south of Prairie Oaks parks and just a few blocks north of West Broad Street (Rt 40).
