Hi All,

Putting on a different hat from the ones I usually wear here -- for the last few years I've been on the board of Environment for the Americas, the organization that coordinates International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD). Next week at a board meeting in Washington we'll be talking about the future of the event.

Ohio already has some of the largest and most effective IMBD celebrations anywhere. But I'd be interested to know if anyone here has ideas or suggestions about what the central organization could do to help support or enhance these events. If anyone has concerns or complaints, of course I'd like to know about those as well. Please write to me privately before next Wednesday (May 30), and I'll make sure that your ideas or concerns are taken into account at the meeting.

Thanks and good birding --

Kenn Kaufman
