Greetings -

Due to lack of a line of precipitation this morning, a lack of onshore winds, plus fog and other weather factors, lakefront locations are slower than yesterday. It seems that the interior, between 10 to 30 miles inland, is more productive for seeking migrants this morning.

The Magee boardwalk has been described as "slow" as of 8:30 a.m., with fair numbers of Nashville, a Magnolia, a few Tennessee, the regular Yellow Warblers, a few Yellow-rumped and Palm, and migrant and resident Warbling Vireos.

Headlands has also been described as surprisingly slow this morning, with few neotropical warbler arrivals. Yellow and Yellow-rumped, Palm, and a few others.

North Chagrin Reservation in Cuyahoga/Lake County, several miles inland, was hopping with Nashville, Chestnut-sided, Yellow-rumped, Pine, Palm and many kinglets, gnatcatchers and a Blue-headed Vireo.

One of the most significant arrivals last night was Wood Thrush, with no less than 15 singing from multiple spots at North Chagrin, and several in the suburbs of Brecksville. Clearly this species made a push last night.
