Woods Road wetland between Rossburg and Ansonia

This evening's highlights:
semipalmated plovers
semipalmated sandpipers
at least one least sandpiper
Killdeer
dickcissel

Yesterday, I found 9 what I believe were Western Sandpipers.
They were in alternate plummage with rufus on wing, face and crown of head.
They were bigger than the semipalmated sandpipers with black bills that were longer than their heads and with a slight downward curve.
I don't know what else they could have been.
