A three hour birding trip this morning in the CVNP along a 2.5 mile stretch of Kendall Lake Rd from our home, and including the Kendall Lake Trail, resulted in 65 species.

Highlights included 11 species of warblers with two Cerulean Warblers in full-throated song directly overhead, a lingering Red-breasted Nuthatch, and Orchard Orioles engaged in nest-building.
