I squeezed out a bit of time and visited parks along the Big Walnut Greenbelt in and adjacent to Gahanna yesterday, for perhaps an hour and a half total. I stopped at Friendship Park, Woodside Green, and Cherrybottom Parks. The mild weather didn't deter migrants from stopping, and there was a decent fallout all along the creek. Highlights included:

Black Vulture - 1 was over Friendship Park early, and likely the same individual joined a small roost of TVs near the Water Plant on Morse Road later

Solitary Sandpiper - 1 was along the creek at Cherrybottom Park

Chimney Swifts - small groups all along the creek; they've been in good #s here for about 4 days

Crested Flycatchers - single birds were calling in each of the parks, the first wave of them this year

Vireos - singing Blue-headed (Friendship Park) and Yellow-throated (Cherrybottom), but strangely no Red-eyed.

Wrens & Gnatcatchers - House Wrens and Blue-gray Gnatcatchers were abundant in all of these parks

Thrushes - calling Wood Thrushes at both Friendship and Woodside Green, but no Swainsons yet

Warblers - Yellow-rumps still the most numerous, but declining. Other species included Nashville (5+), Yellow, Parula, Yellow-throated, Chesnut-sided (FOS), Black&White, Black-thr.Greens (3), Palm (3), Redstart, Hooded, and Common Yellowthroat

Rose-br.Grosbeak - my FOS was singing at Friendship Park.

Sparrows - White-crowns were at Friendship and Cherrybottom Parks, while White-throated were at Woodside-Green & Cherrybottom

Orioles - Baltimores were at each of the parks, but I couldn't locate any Orchard Orioles here
