Late in the afternoon, I was happily watching all the new yard birds, especially the lively, vocal rose breasted grosbeaks 
coming to the feeders, when Dick Rickard called to tell me how active the marsh area was at
Frohring Meadows  in the morning. And that the bobolinks had arrived there too. So, off I went.

i saw at least 20 lesser yellowlegs, 2 greater yellowlegs, a handful of solitary sandpipers,
a couple of pectoral sandpipers, just one least sandpiper and a few snipe. Pretty much Dick's list
except for the greater yellowlegs.

Also, still a gadwall, a blue winged teal and a mallard with it's brood.

And, of course, the bobolinks.  4 males.
