While birding at the wetlands earlier today, Sam Rockwell and I had a 2nd year male Blue
Grosbeak at the far south end of the wetlands. There is a pull off on the east side of Darby
Creek Dr.,just north of the metro park entrance. the bird was seen about 150 yards on the
south side of the path( not mowed ). The bird did not sing, but was feeding in the tall grass.
The bird was seen at 10a.m.
Also seen:
Dickcissel
Bank swallow
Grasshopper sparrows
No Savannah sparrows seen or heard?
Good luck birding, mike and the Q
