I once saw a Grackle repeatedly attack and then carry off a fledgling Starling. I wouldn't have thought a Grackle could take off with that much weight. A Common Nighthawk was calling in University Circle in Cleveland at dusk this evening. I hear one calling just above the buildings every year in the late spring/early summer. The location is near the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and CWRU's north campus.
