 Hi all,
During my weekly walk at this Metro Park, just NW of Columbus, I found 2 singing Dickcissels in the area of the frisbee golf course (north part of the park on the marsh hawk trail). The grassland habitat at this park has been getting better the past several years (with lots of management help), and it looks like this could be a bumper year for grassland birds there. Also present along the northern and eastern sections of the Marsh Hawk trail were several Grasshopper Sparrows, and at least 6 male and 3 female Bobolinks- the most I have ever seen there. I haven't found any Henslow's Sparrows yet this year, but they were quite common last year, mainly later in the summer.

Also, I am interested in the status of Evening Grosbeak in Ohio, particularly since 2010. If anyone has sightings since that time that they wouldn't mind sharing, please reply to me off-list. I already have what is in EBird.

Thanks, and Good Birding,

Steve Landes
