Blendon Woods is located in the northeast corner of Columbus off of
I 270 Rte 161. Take the Little Turtle Way exit. Below is a list of some of
the birds seen today at Blendon Woods. I would like to thank the Columbus
Audubon members & Metro Park visitors for helping find these birds.

              Great crested Flycatcher-pair
              Olive-sided Flycatcher 8:35am, Seen at & near the
intersection of Brookside & Overlook Trail
              Carolina Wren

      Brookside Trail 9:11am
              Nest-Ruby-throated Hummingbird
                  Ruby-throated hummingbird
              Warblers
                    Hooded
                    Kentucky

              W Turkey-male, female
              Red-bellied woodpecker-Hatching Year being fed by Adult
              Taking a Bath in the Creek

             E Towhee-Hatching Year male
             House Finch-male

   Thoreau Lake 10:20am
              Wood Duck-female with 3 ducklings
              Mallard-male,  female with 6 ducklings
              Cedar Waxwing-5+
              Barn Swalow-2 adults feeding 5 Hatching Year. The Hatching
Year birds were perched in a row on a dead tree. The adults would come in &
feed a bird an insect, leave & come

back with more food & feed another bird
              Great Blue Heron

               Pileated Woodpecker
               Scarlet Tanager
               Kentucky Warbler-same one that was on Brookside Trail
