I forgot to post this to the list -- we were at Glacier Ridge Metro
Park (the wetland area) yesterday morning, and heard several Virginia
rails calling from the reeds by the observation tower.  After several
minutes watching from the top deck, we finally saw one dart across a
small open area -- too fast for a picture, alas.  Hopefully, it'll be
another good year for them there.

There were also a couple of spotted sandpipers working a mud puddle in
the far corner of area visible from the observation tower, along with
a few killdeer.  The only bird I got a halfway decent photo of was a
woodcock, which didn't move *quite* as quickly as the rail:
