Today at Charlemont Reservation in Lorain Cty. we had at least two
territorial Dickcissels. They were in the large open
meadow/wetland on New London-Eastern Rd. immediately west of the power line
- on the east side of the foot trail that
bisects this section of the park. South side of the road. Lots of other
interesting wetland & open meadow birds here,
as well as a nice assortment of leps & odes.
Vesper Sparrows were found in Lorain Cty. at Margaret Peak Preserve and
along Quarry Rd. a little northwest of Charlemont Res.
Singing Savanna Sparrows can be found in Beachwood City Park - just east of
Richmond Rd.
