While admiring my juvenile Grosbeaks, a Red-headed Woodpecker visited our feeder! A new yard bird! This is the only woodpecker we haven't had in our yard. I have kept a yard list since 1989. Our turkeys are still bringing their young; 5 chicks. It varies between morning and evening. This morning I heard her clucking; announcing their arrival. We also have a family of Raccoons with 5 young ones. Mom crosses in front of our deck; the 5 youngsters march right across the deck to reach our bird feeder.
