Hi all: Spent a few hours at and around Funk Bottoms WA this afternoon.
Most productive was Wilderness Road, where there's some shorebird habitat at
the peat pit though not many shorebirds today-2 Least Sandpipers, 1 Spotted
Sandpiper, and 55 Killdeer. Three Dickcissels were singing up a storm.
About 300 Bank Swallows and 35 Bobolinks were staging, along with 500
Red-winged Blackbirds. The best finds were butterflies. Saw 10 Dainty
Sulphurs on the eastern portion of Wilderness Road on Sunday and counted 18
there this afternoon. Su Snyder, Wooster
