I wish i had seen it. :-D there have several reports over the past few years...i can't remember if it is territory related or food availability related...or Grackles have a strange taste for Old World grub. But there have been multiple reports.

Kayaking the Scioto from Kenton to Larue tomorrow (3rd)...hopefully I'll find some good birds. :-D

I'm very curious if anyone has seen anything like this: This past Saturday (June 30) we watched a Grackle attack an adult House Sparrow at the feeders, kill the sparrow and eat the head. I've never seen any Grackle behavior like this in my life. Anyone seen this?
