Shaune Skinner and I visited Dillon Lake State Park today and identified 2 juvenile red-necked phalaropes feeding at water's edge along the beach. Dillon Lake is in Muskingum County along State Route 146 north/west of Zanesville. The beach is well signed along 146. The mud flats up in the Sportsmen Area (northern end of the lake) is pretty dried up - just a few killdeer present. The Great Blue Herons were everywhere, but no Little Blues. Other fun notables included 2 Bald Eagles, an osprey, and three Broad-Winged Hawks.
