Hi all,
For the past couple months, I’ve been keeping shorebird counts at a local spot in Darke Co. Today finally produced something of interest besides the usual suspects - two White-rumped Sandpipers. These were only the 9th species of shorebird this fall at this particular locale. For those interested, this dried up wetland is located on Palestine-Union City Road just south of the little hamlet of Nashville (basically an intersection with a couple houses). All other shorebird spots in Darke Co. are dried up that I know of - including the better known Woods Road Wetlands.
