Larry Jeanblanc, Julie Karlson, and I checked the beach at Buck Creek State
Park near Springfield this morning. We quickly spotted a Wilson's Phalarope
and then an American Avocet. There were also Least and Semipalmated
Sandpipers, Pectoral Sandpipers, Spotted Sandpipers, and many Killdeer
present. Four Lesser Yellowlegs flew by. With the flock of Ring-billed Gulls
was a single Herring Gull and one Caspian Tern.
