Herrick Fen is a state nature preserve on Season's Road in Portage county.

This morning counted 15+ sedge wrens and 2 or 3 marsh wrens.

Also a grey catbird with white undertail, vs the usual orangish color.

Many swamp sparrows bred successfully there this year.

The habitat has changed dramatically over the past few years as The Nature Conversancy continues to remove invasives and has (to my understanding) stopped regulating the water levels - now the spring-fed fen looks a lot more like a fen.
