Yesterday/Sunday, I and a few others had 1 Wilson's and 4 Red-necked
Phalaropes at the Battelle Darby wetlands. No sign of Western
Sandpiper, Baird's Sandpiper or Buff-breasted Sandpiper, but turnover
here is high. Definitely worth checking frequently if you can spare
the time.

Also present at the "south east pond" was 1 White-rumped Sandpiper
(reported by Ben Warner and others; I never saw it). Similar species
were seen at the "north pond" (see map below) including Short-billed
Dowitcher.

If you're unfamiliar with the hidden ponds and wetlands in this area,
here is a map showing parking access for the two largest ponds (E and
G on the map) that have been hosting shorebirds lately.  As always,
please respect adjacent private property, and minimize your
disturbance of these birds so they get a chance to refuel before
continuing south and so other birders can see them too!
