The monthly bird count for Magee Marsh was done this morning. The
following were seen or heard...

 

Pied-Billed Grebe, Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Canada Goose, Wood
Duck, Cooper's Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, Bald Eagle, Sandhill Crane,
Killdeer, Herring Gull, Ring-billed Gull, Forster's Tern, Common Tern,
Caspian Tern, Mourning Dove, Chimney Swift, Ruby-Throated Hummingbird,
Belted Kingfisher, Northern Flicker, Red-Bellied Woodpecker, Hairy
Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, Eastern Kingbird, Great Crested
Flycatcher, Eastern Phoebe, Eastern Wood-Pewee, Tree Swallow, Barn
Swallow, Black-Capped Chickadee, White-breasted Nuthatch, House Wren,
Carolina, Wren, Gray Catbird, American Robin, Cedar Waxwing, European
Starling, Warbling Vireo, Black-and-white Warbler, Prothonotary Warbler,
Yellow Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, Ovenbird, Common Yellowthroat,
Red-winged Blackbird, Baltimore Oriole, Common Grackle, Northern
Cardinal, Indigo Bunting, Song Sparrow, and American Goldfinch

 

 

Our next count will be Tuesday, September 18th at 8am at the Bird
