During the past 4 days, researches have leg banded and temporarily
color-marked over 330 shorebirds in the southwest Lake Erie Marsh Region.
All of these shorebirds have been marked YELLOW. This fall, more than 900
shorebirds have been captured and color-marked - have you seen any?! Birds
captured at other sites in previous weeks have been marked BLUE and RED.
If you spot any of these color-marked shorebirds, or have seen any in the
previous few weeks, please send information about your sightings to
[log in to unmask]

Your reports will lead to an improved understanding of shorebird migration
ecology and contribute to revising regional shorebird habitat conservation
plans. More information about the research project is available on the
Black Swamp Bird Observatory’s website:
http://www.bsbo.org/pdf/Shorebird_Migration_Research_Form.pdf

Thank you for your contributions to this research!

Keith
