Julie Karlson and I looked around the wetlands at Battelle Darby from about
11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. We eventually made our way to the pond in the
southeastern part of the wetlands. There don't seem to be any trails to the
area so it requires making your way through the brush. The water level is
fairly low but there were quite a few birds there. The highlight was four
Red-necked Phalaropes. There were also some ducks including Blue and
Green-winged Teal and Northern Shovelers.
