Greetings - this evening I found an immature Little Blue Heron on the lake at Hinckley Reservation, while kayaking. We approached within 35 feet. Only camera handy was my friend's cellphone but photos were taken. Excellent record for Cleveland Metroparks and for Medina County. A Great Egret, Green Heron and Great Blue Heron we present on the shoreline as well.   This was directly across (north) the lake from the boathouse and store. Easy viewing from the parking lot and boathouse and dock. I stopped at Strongsville Wildlife Area afterward ( Cleveland Metroparks, Mill Stream Run Reservation) and scored another immature Little Blue with Green Heron and Great Blue in tow. The marsh here is almost completely dry.
