Just got off the phone with Jim Schott, the area manager at Pipe Creek
Wildlife Area in Erie County.

They are closing the area today in preparation for teal season, but it
will reopen again on Sept. 12 and be open through Sept. 23. So there
will be more opportunities for birding this fall at Pipe Creek. Jim is
maintaining the status quo at the area as far as water levels, but of
course Mother nature can change that in a hurry.

Jim is very happy that he can accommodate birders as well as the teal
hunters at this location.

Happy Birding!
