A short time ago, at 1:45PM this afternoon, my wife Denise called, to say there are now 23 American Golden-Plovers at the previously described location at Berlin Lake. The American Golden-Plovers are south of the causeway, just west of the SR224 Bridge over the lake. They are usually found on the first sand peninsula. Most are still in breeding plumage. On Sunday evening I could not find them, thinking they were gone. Yesterday, Larry Rosche reported the probable 17 that I had reported on Sunday afternoon, were back at the peninsula about noonish. They apparently come and go. This is a great opportunity to see these beauties reasonably close. A scope is suggested.
