It is presently 12:58PM Thursday afternoon. There are no less than 9 American Golden-Plovers in breeding plumage remaining at Berlin Lake. Today they are still on the southside of causeway west of the SR224 Bridge, but directly adjacent to, and across the road from the sign marking the Portage-Mahoning County Line. They are as close as they have been, on the edge of the nearest water. Today is at least the sixth day in a row that American Golden-Plovers have been here, first seen on Saturday August 25th. Some of the other shorebirds present are Short-billed Dowitcher, Least Sandpiper, and Killdeer.
