I stopped by this MetroPark for an hour yesterday afternoon to check for waterbird & landbird migrants. Water levels continue to be ridiculously low, so that only the west half of Ellis Pond and a small portion of Teal Pond still have any water. Great Egrets were totally gone, so last weeks 28 birds must have been migrants. No swallows, which is very unusual here. What was there included

Great Blue Heron - 9 scattered between both ponds
Wood Ducks - 6, all at Teal Pond
Green-winged Teal - 5, at Teal Pond, naturally
Sandhill Cranes - 3 resting in grassflats at eastern end of Ellis Pond
Kildeer - about 50 scattered between the 2 ponds
Solitary Sandpipers - 2 at Ellis
Lesser Yellowlegs - 3 at Ellis
Pectoral Sandpipers - 10 at Ellis
Least Sandpipers - 2 at Ellis
Semipalmated Sandpipers - 20 at Ellis
Willow Flycatcher - 1 along Meadowlark Trail west of Ellis Pond
Yellow Warbler - 1 juvenile at the Wood Duck picnic area
Bobolinks - 4-5 in the grassflats around Teal Pond
