A short time ago, at 10AM, this morning, Friday, there were no less than 21 American Golden-Plovers still present at the previously described location at the US224 Causeway over Berlin Lake at the Mahoning-Portage County line. There have been American Golden-Plovers at this location continually for at least the past seven days. They do seem more active today, taking flight on occasion, but returning to the same area eash time. When they are at rest on the boney sand peninsula, they are hard to see, blending in with the rocks. The plovers are the same size as the rocks they are resting in. Scan with your scope slowly.
