I wanted to post a note of thanks for everyone who sent me information. I
enjoyed reading all the emails. My contact in California was really happy.
She is looking forward to adding to her bird list. Now she is also looking
at going to Point Pelee when she and her husband come out here. So, if
anyone has been there, I would appreciate any advice to pass along. I was
there many years ago. 

I also wanted to report three calling red-shouldered hawks this morning
behind the tennis courts in the wetlands area in Solon Community Park. I
have seen red-shouldered hawks around the Solon library. I saw one land on
the roof last year carrying a prey item. The sighting of three hawks this
year could indicate a nest nearby. 

Has anyone else been to LaDue Reservoir to see the shorebirds? I was
thinking making a trip there.
