About 11:30 this morning I observed a 2nd year bald eagle gliding westerly over the Sawmill Wetlands on the north side of Columbus. I first observed the bird as I drove northwest on Federated, and was able to follow it for 1/2 mile as it crossed Sawmill Road and headed towards Dublin. It was 100-150' off the ground, and when first observed it was moving more or less in the company of two turkey vultures that were about 50-75' higher. They meandered more and soon it had moved ahead of them, and I caught a light and ended up in last place!
