I have been seeing a family group of Red-headed Woodpeckers regularly at the south beach of Harsha Lake, East Fork SP, Clermont County (SW Ohio).
Directions: SR 125E to Bantam Rd, left onto Bantam, then first left into the park and follow signs to beach access. Park in the first lot on your right as you face the lake. There is a mixed oak woodlot on the right (east) end, and a dead snag in the corner nearest the lake. Birds are very active - just wait. Viewing is easier in the evening, with the sun at your back, than it is in the morning. Flycatchers and warblers are seen here also.

The Osprey has been present on every one of my visits, both morning and evening. He tends to hang around the west cove, but I have seen him flying back and forth across the southern part of the lake, and I even watched him catch a fish once.
