I had 3 Hudsonian godwits at Lorain Harbor this afternoon. They were at the
extreme west end of the harbor and were visible from the Muni Pier (former
hot waters). I checked the same area around noon and saw nothing. When we
were heading out around 4:30 we checked again and they were there. At noon
I had a black-bellied plover there but it was not there later. Apparently
the birds are not hanging around long. There were Caspian and common terns
there along with some gulls. The only other shorebirds were killdeer and
semipalmated sandpiper west of the river. Not much else.
