Dike 14, Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve, was hopping this morning between 8:30 am and 10 am. 15 species of warblers, including 3 Mourning, 3 Pine, yellowthroats, many redstarts, many Magnolias, many Blackpolls, Wilson's, Nashville etc were joined by both Gray-cheeked and Swainsons Thrushes, towhee, thrasher, grosbeaks, Marsh and Sedge Wrens (one of the latter), loads of Chipping and Song Sparrows with White-throated and Lincoln's Sparrows, and at least 9 Red-breasted Nuthatches. Flickers were everywhere, with 43+ counted. Many Eastern  Wood-Pewees, phoebes and Least Flycatchers present. It died down around 10:25 am as it clouded up and the big mixed flock moved east along the fence row.
