This morning, Saturday, we have been observing 5 Franklin's Gulls, from 9:30AM to the present, 10:50AM. They are easily seen looking southwest from the Cedar Point Chausee. Look for the mass of resting gulls, they have been hanging to the far left of the other gulls, near numerous Caspian Terns. Other birds of interest were 2 Black-bellied Plovers, a single Snowy Egret, 4 Northern Pintails, and lots of Pied-billed Grebes, Northern Shovelers, Wood Ducks, and Great Egrets. There was a variety of shorebirds on the east side of the road. Bob and Denise Lane / 40 Years Of Birding Together
