This morning it was a big sparrow's activity in the area between parking lot and the main pond. The "star" of the show was Nelson's Sparrow found in the cattails just south of the pond. Here is my checklist
http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S11646779
The main pond is compeletely dry. At the SE pond, which is accessable via mowed trail from the Elevators area, I found many ducks (Mallards, Shovelers, Blue and Green-winged Teals) and a small group of shorebirds (Killdeers, Pectoral and Least Sandpipers, 1 Lesser Yellowleg and 1 BB Plover). Many butterflies and grasshoppers in the field.
