Birders,
Please help identifying this bird.It was observed in a sugar maple tree in the Grandview Heights, Columbus area. The bird was in a sugar maple
tree and I got very good looks for about half an hour. It was completely pale blueish-grey with the very visible and brilliant lemon yellow wing bars, long slender bill with faint lemon yellow crown, nape and rump.
It also had white supercilium and auriculars. Up to this point I thought it was a golden winged-female until I saw it had very black lores just
like a blue-winged, making look like it had black eyeliner. The length
of the bill was also very prominent. It was "traveling" with a female redstar. Any help identifying this bird
would be greatly appreciated!!
