I just had distant looks at a pale looking phalarope sp. viewed from the
dam. It was sitting on open water in the middle of the reservoir near a
small group of Cormorants when I found it, then it flew up and east out of
sight. I don't think it left the area (though it could end up at Hoover) so
if you're nearby birding today it would be worth reading up on Red
Phalarope ID and stopping by. A  scope or a boat would come in handy! ;-)
