Greetings- before a rain deluge this morning I had 14 species of warblers at Wendy Park, on the Cleveland lakeshore. This small stand of cottonwoods is a true migrant trap. Highlights included Mourning, Pine, Blackburnian, Bay-breasted, Black-throated Blue, many redstarts, many Magnolias and Wilson's, Chestnut-sided, Blackpoll, Tennessee. A single Red-breasted Nuthatch was extremely vocal and moving with the mixed warbler flock. Warblers were still dropping in when I had to get back in the car for cover from a front.
