Hummingbird nest near Big Walnut Bike Trail. Recorded September 5, 2012 from the Big Walnut bike trail bridge near Price Rd. Park, Gahanna, OH. 
The first feeding shown was at 7:04 AM. The nestling fledged at 8:17 AM. It showed no unusual behavior prior to leaving the nest. I did see it leave the nest but unfortunately I did not have the camera recording, because the bird gave no warning. It perched in the nest tree about 10 feet from the nest and remained there about 15 minutes before flying out of sight . While the fledgling was perched nearby the adult visited the nest twice, but made no effort to locate the fledgling other than at the nest. The fledgling made no effort, that I could observe, to signal the adult.
At 2:32 the video shows the nestling peck at the adult.
At 2:41 the video shows the fledgling immediately after it left the nest.
