Birders,

The City of Columbus is in the process of removing the 5th Ave Dam on
the Olentangy River.  As of last night the water level upstream of the
dam has already dropped 3-4 feet (with another 4-5 feet to go),
exposing some nice looking mudflats and islands a few hundred yards
north and south of the Woody Hayes Dr and Lane Ave bridges.  I'll bird
these mudflats regularly and post if I find anything but I thought
others in the area would want to know about this interesting habitat
as well.
