It’s that time of year again :) Time for the Princeton Review "Best Game Programs" ranking survey! Once again, I employ you to answer this quick, 20 question survey (questions include your name, your division, etc – really, it’s quick). Of the past 3 survey years, we have ranked honorable mention for 2 - thanks to your help. I'd like to help us get int he top 10. If you do anything with games, games students, global game jam, simulation, etc. please complete the survey ASAP. We will tabulate on October 31st. Please feel free to forward this survey to anyone you think appropriate.

I also invite you to send me any materials to be included in our new Games Center website (http://www.LearnVideoGames.com). The reviewers will be looking for interesting projects that we completed and general success stories via the site. If you’d like me to add any of your research, games, simulation or related work to the website, please let me know. We are also interested in adding any student work as a showcase.

In case you need some inspiration, here’s some recent news we can brag about:

- Tim Russo (CSE ‘12) is currently working at Indiepub/Zoo Games as a developer.
- James Cox (IMS Co-Major ‘13) won “runner up” at last week’s Meaningful Play Conference in the "Best Student Game" category for his critical play game, Don't Kill the Cow
- Jack Hall (SEAS ‘13) was co-author with Peter Jamieson and I on a paper that received the top 5 paper award at Meaningful Play last week. The paper is titled "Research Directions for Understanding Human Computational Games"

There’s a list of more Miami games research and publications here:

You'll also notice a press section which describes some of the national press we've received. If you have anything to add, please let me know.

Thanks for playing!
