Greetings, a leisurely visit to Wendy Park scanning the break wall for very very very few gulls ended up with extreme excitement when Susan Belinis spotted a CATTLE EGRET coming in off the harbor from the northeast and it passed right by us heading to the west, appearing to drop in just west of Wendy Park. We immediately went to Edgewater State Park just to the west to see if it had put down on the large open grassy fields, but no luck. I would bet that it would stop here, though. Photos of bird in flight will be posted at http://northnw.wordpress.com later this afternoon. A very, very, very good bird for Cuyahoga and the NE region of Ohio. Great find Susan!
